Precision Casting Facility

This project comprises the refurbishment and upgrade of a 320,000ft2 1970’s turbine blades foundry and production facility.  The works include asbestos removal works, removal of multiple redundant services installations and full services renewal including critical life safety systems and environmental controls installations, new welfare, kitchen and canteen areas for 1200 personnel, full façade renewal, and associated external works, services and drainage installations.

The works have been carefully planned by MPP working closely with all stakeholders to minimise interference to operations and maintain production 24/7 364 days a year.  The works are being carried out over multiple phases with multiple contracts all in accordance with a master delivery programme again developed by MPP.

MPP are providing a full Lead Consultant service comprising an initial full point cloud survey of the existing building and equipment installations, full pre-contract design services, design watching brief post contract, project management, quantity surveying services and full management and co-ordination of all new plant & equipment installations.

This is one of a number of projects MPP are currently successfully delivering for Rolls-Royce PLC.
